BASE-T TRANSPORT

Base-T  Transport is a guaranteed full duplex symmetrical high speed Ethernet connection delivered to the customer premises via Rainbow’s Hybrid Fiber Microwave broadband  network. This service is normally offered to a Wholesale Carrier or a Service Provider (For Carriers/Service Providers an Interconnection with Rainbow  is required)

Base-T Transport  is an EVC (Ethernet Virtual Circuit), connecting two subscriber sites or a subscriber site and a Carrier/Service Provider via Rainbow’s network. Rainbow Broadband supports an aggregation of multiple EVC(s) into a single Layer 2 NNI (Network to Network Interface) interconnecting Rainbow and the Carrier/Service Provider.

The Wholesale Carrier/Service Provider receives:

• Installations handled by Rainbow Broadband
• Traffic aggregation
• Traffic prioritization
• Rainbow’s Quality Technical Support

Customers receive:

•  1-100 Mbps broadband connection (EVC)
•   Ethernet hand off at a location of their choice which provides a data interface already compatible with customer’s switching/routing/firewall equipment. Ethernet hand off eliminates additional costs associated with delivery of traditional communication links.
